Getting right into the good news. Congress has extended and expanded the first-time homebuyer tax credit to include current homeowners!! On November 4th, President Obama signed into law an extension that also includes homeowners that have used their home for 5 of the last 8 years.

 

Between the definition of 1st time buyers and the extension for homeowners, the new law includes most anyone looking to buy a primary residence. You now have until April 30th, 2010 to make your purchase. Click here for a brief chart of qualifications and benefits.

 

 

There has definitely been some rumbling from the fed threatening to increase interest rates. Now is definitely time to make your move :-)

 

Last week, we got a helluva deal for one of our clients on a gorgeous Clearwater Beach penthouse. While doing some research, I was amazed to find out that in the last 3 months, 60 Clearwater Beach condos have sold and another 46 are under contract! The cool thing about it: they are being sold for so much less than they were in 2006. Like an average of at least 40% less than the top of the market.
