I trust everyone had an excellent Columbus Day holiday :-) If you are like me, you didn't realize it was a holiday until you went to the bank.
Speaking of banks: Were you aware of how low interest rates are? They have dropped below 5.00 again for 30 years fixed!! If you don't plan to keep your home for more than 5 years, there is even 3.8% for 5 year adjustable. Also, keep in mind the government's $8,000 tax creditis set to expire on November 30, 2009. Your purchase has to close by Nov 30, so the time to take advantage of the lower prices, low interest rates (currently 4.95% for 30 years fixed) and the TAX CREDIT, is truly RIGHT NOW!!
I've put together some deals on homes that can be bought under the current market price. The really good deals are not lasting on the market very long these days. A property is either a really good deal or can be negotiated to a good deal - in which case it sells fast, or the seller is not attuned the market and it takes forever.
