Hi - The holidays are upon us. And, surprisingly, Clearwater real estate is beginning to pick up some. We have noticed more activity on our real estate websites. More calls for property in Clearwater, or the Clearwater area.

This is a actually a very good time to pick up a steal on a place in the sun.

We live in a Clearwater suburb, Dunedin. Our subdivision, Weathersfield, has pretty nice homes in the 400-600K range. There were 4 homes for sale for months, with none selling. Two finally sold. One closed the other day for 175 per square foot. That was pretty good. It was on the market for 410K and sold for 408K.

But keeping with everything I have been saying about the deals available, that house was originally on the market at 449K.

We were definitely happy to get a comp in at 175 per square foot.

Clearwater real estate is still a bargain compared to many other parts of Florida and the country.
